A Better Breed of Dog Daycare in New Jersey

The Pups@Play dog daycare experience has been designed to meet your dog’s physical and social needs at the highest level. Our goal is to deliver you a happier healthier dog at the end of the day.

Our spacious facilities are a “home away from home”, with plenty of space for playing with friends, exercising, and socializing. As our guest, your dog will enjoy specialty playrooms to enjoy with others, numerous walks throughout the day, and meaningful activities in a clean and safe environment – all under the supervision of experienced pup counselors. In addition, our play areas have rubber flooring to provide an ultra-hygienic surface that also reduces strain on paws and joints.

We recognize that, like us, dogs are unique and have individual personalities. To maximize each guest’s experience, we take the time to understand tolerance for noise, crowds, chaos, etc. and place them in the daycare setting that’s ideal for their temperament.

We take the safety of the pets in our care very seriously, so each dog must first complete Meet & Greet to ensure that they are a good fit for Daycare.

The Importance of Resting

Routine rest time during daycare is not only important to the health of your pet but also for the safety of the entire pack. Resting refers to the downtime in between playtimes during daycare. This gives your pet a chance to recuperate so they do not exhaust themselves before their visit comes to an end, which is especially important for our full-day guests. Additionally, resting significantly decreases the chances of injuries within the pack. Just like with humans, rest allows for both mental and physical recovery, for their overall health and wellbeing.

Vaccination Requirements

All of our furry guests must meet the following requirements for vaccines:

ADULT DOGS:*

● Rabies – Must be renewed every 1 to 3 years.

● Distemper/Parvo – Must be renewed 1 to 3 years.

● Bordetella (Kennel Cough) – Must be renewed every 6 months.

● All dogs over the age of 7 months must also be neutered or spayed.

● If vaccinations are renewed on the same day that they expire, your pet must complete a 24-48 hour waiting period before being allowed to come into the facility.

PUPPIES:

● Note: Dogs can start daycare as early as four-months-old as long as he/she has completed the DHPP Series, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations. Once your puppy turns seven months old, they will need to be spayed or neutered in order to participate in group daycare. We do provide individual playtime or one-on-one time with our staff and your dog if needed. Additional fees apply.

● For your convenience, records can be emailed to livingston@pupsatplay.net or uploaded to your online account once you’ve created profiles for you and your pet.

Meet and Greet

NOTE: Covid-19 protocol may affect these guidelines. Call us with any questions: 873-863-3031.

To participate in daycare and/or open boarding, all guests are required to pass a Meet and Greet.

The Meet and Greet Day, and we ask that all dogs stay for a minimum of two hours. Tests are conducted Monday through Friday between 7 and 9:30am. Please call to schedule.

You can choose to have your dog go to daycare immediately after they have passed the test. Have fun! Please drop large dogs off by 11am so they can get established and comfortable with the pack. (Small dogs are able to join the pack later, however.) Make sure they eat prior to coming as it’s not recommended to have lunch during a pack introduction. Daycare hours are between 7am and 7pm on weekdays.

If your dog does not pass the Meet and Greet and/or does not enjoy interacting with other dogs, they are still welcome and will get lots of exercise, outside time, and attention from our amazing team members. A Meet and Greet is only required for daycare/open-boarding participants.
